vILLainousYea that's true, though right now I'm back in America visiting my parents. I head back over there on Feb. 15th until August, then I decide if I want to stay another year or move on to another country. Next destination might be Japan, depends how I feel.

How do you work and stuff to travel like that?
Thats something Ive always wanted to do, just travel and live in dif places training and just generally enjoying life and experiencing new s——; but idk how Id support myself or anything. Im graduating high school in a few months and I feel if Im gonna do it nows the time to start.

It's wicked easy actually. I teach English. I have my BA from uni. Asian countries are dying to learn english, and its one of the few places in the world where the USD still goes a long way.

Right now I'm teaching poetry to college students 3 days a week for 12 hours a week total. Easy.

Once you graduate college, all you need is your BA and you can literally go anywhere in Asia to teach.

hope that helps

also, forgot to mention this...

say you want to teach in China,

you don't need much in the way of things planned before you arrive.

I arrived in Kunming and stayed in a hostel with one of my buddies from college, the next day we found an apartment and moved in. And it took 1 month for us to find a job (we wound up teaching at the same school.)

1 USD= 6.5 rmb (chinese)

groceries for the week=3 USD

the average breakfast/lunch/dinner= 5 rmb (less than 1 USD)

so your money goes a long way in China. that's just an example.

teaching with a Bachelors Degree at the university level pays

3700 rmb.

its 6.8 rmb to 1 USD, soo

its in the range of about 500 USD a month. The place where I pay is pretty average. There are places where you can get paid up to about 8000 rmb.

It varies

and so far as the philippines goes, I've never thought about it, that could be a distinct possibility. Where abouts do you guys stomp around?
